Verichip - the physical part of the Mark of the Beast???

Well, now that it is officially released for banking transactions, the only remaining question is how long will it take to become a worldwide substitute for credit/debit cards ?

Then once accomplished, how long the window will remain open until suddenly this becomes the ONLY way of doing business, a la MARK OF THE BEAST Rev.13 prophecies?

It's here.

The implantable RFID payment chip predicted 4 years ago was unveiled to the world today in Paris, France (see full story below). The "VeriPay" chip contains a unique ID number associated with the individual in whom it is embedded. This unique ID number can be linked to credit card or other payment method and communicated to merchants by merely holding the chipped body part up to an RFID reader/sales device.

Though it is not clear which part of the body the company targets for payment chip implantation, my guess is that the upper arm (where the company's "Verichip" product is currently embedded) would be too cumbersome to wave at a reader device. More likely, the chip will be embedded in an individual's hand or wrist to facilitate the "wave and go" payment system currently possible with the Mobil Speedpass-Timex Wristwatch system. While CASPIAN is a secular organization that welcomes members from all faiths and backgrounds, I am aware that there are many Christians on this list who will find the biblical book of Revelations, 13:16-17, extremely relevant to this development. This is the passage that predicts a time in the future when a mark on the hand or forehead, containing a number, will be universally required to buy or sell.

Applied Digital Solutions' CEO Announces ``VeriPay'' Secure, Subdermal Solution for Payment and Credit Transactions at ID World 2003 in Paris
Friday November 21, 9:30 am ET  2003
http://biz.yahoo.com/bw/031121/215207_1.html

PALM BEACH, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 21, 2003--Applied Digital Solutions, Inc. (Nasdaq: ADSX - News) an advanced technology development company, announced that the Company's Chief Executive Officer, Scott R. Silverman, in his speech today at the ID World 2003 in Paris, France, revealed the Company's newest subdermal RFID solution called VeriPay(TM). VeriPay is intended to be a secure, subdermal RFID (radio frequency identification) payment technology for cash and credit transactions. [emphasis added]

About the size of a grain of rice, VeriChip(TM) is the world's first subdermal, radio frequency identification (RFID) microchip that can be used in a variety of security, financial, emergency identification and other applications.

The VeriPay announcement came just a few days after a USA Today article (November 17, 2003) about emerging technologies highlighted one of the major limitations of using RFID technology for payment and credit transactions. After discussing various potential formats for RFID payment systems, including cards, earrings or pens, the USA Today article stated: "Still, experts note that one big hurdle remains for RFID systems: security. Lose your RFID-enabled card or earring, and someone else could easily use it to run up charges - especially if no signature is required."

In that same article, an executive with a major credit card company said this about his company's RFID payment technology: "Ultimately, it could be embedded in anything - someday, maybe even under the skin." [emphasis added]

At ID World 2003 in Paris, Mr. Silverman made the point that the subdermal RFID VeriPay technology specifically addresses the security issue. VeriPay's unique, under-the-skin format offers a much more secure, tamper-proof, and loss-proof solution. VeriPay brings to consumers the benefits of fast and reliable RFID technology along with the security of a subdermal format. [emphasis added]

In announcing VeriPay to ID World delegates, Mr. Silverman expressed his belief that VeriPay has enormous marketplace potential and invited banking and credit companies to partner with VeriChip Corporation in developing specific commercial applications, beginning with appropriate pilot programs and other market tests, for the VeriPay subdermal RFID solution. [emphasis added]

About ID World 2003

ID World is organized by Wise Media, S.p.A., based in Milan, Italy. This year special attention will be given to the future of security systems. The modern security infrastructure relies on specialized systems, software applications and technical standards built on different foundations for the physical world (i.e. access control to buildings) and the virtual world (i.e. IT security). With industrial spies, terrorists, hackers and vandals increasing their ability to operate in both environments, the traditional compartmental approach to security is evolving towards an increasingly holistic view. Key industry players that traditionally focused either on physical or digital security explain how the boundaries of these worlds are blurring and how global security infrastructures are converging to address both environments with integrated solutions.

Over 30 speakers will take the stage at ID WORLD 2003, a majority of which are senior corporate executives and key industry players. Confirmed speakers include: David Slinger, General Manager of Texas Instruments RFID; Mauro Benetton, Marketing Manager of the Benetton Group and President of Lab ID; Dr Joseph Atick, President and CEO of Identix, Joseph Grillo, President and CEO of Assa Abloy ITG; General John Watkins, former director of the Pentagon's Defense Information Systems Agency; and Francois Darcy, Directeur Projet Titre Fondateur - Ministere de l'Interieur, Republique Francaise.

About VeriChip(TM)

VeriChip is a subdermal, radio frequency identification (RFID) device that can be used in a variety of security, financial, emergency identification and other applications. About the size of a grain of rice, each VeriChip product contains a unique verification number that is captured by briefly passing a proprietary scanner over the VeriChip. The standard location of the microchip is in the triceps area between the elbow and the shoulder of the right arm. The brief outpatient "chipping" procedure lasts just a few minutes and involves only local anesthetic followed by quick, painless insertion of the VeriChip. Once inserted just under the skin, the VeriChip is inconspicuous to the naked eye. A small amount of radio frequency energy passes from the scanner energizing the dormant VeriChip, which then emits a radio frequency signal transmitting the verification number. In October 2002, the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) ruled that VeriChip is not a regulated device with regard to its security, financial, personal identification/safety applications but that VeriChip's healthcare information applications are regulated by the FDA. VeriChip Corporation is a wholly owned subsidiary of Applied Digital Solutions (Nasdaq: ADSX - News). For more information about VeriChip, visit www.adsx.com.

U.N. meeting hears proposal for global human database, ID numbers, to register everyone…

Every person in the world would be fingerprinted and registered under a universal identification scheme to fight illegal immigration and people smuggling outlined at a United Nations meeting today.

The plan was put forward by Pascal Smet, the head of Belgium's independent asylum review board, at a roundtable meeting with ministers including Australian Immigration Minister Philip Ruddock this afternoon.

But he said the plan could be extended worldwide.

Verichip, a miniaturized, implantable identification device with a variety of medical, security and emergency applications...

VeriChip is an implantable, 12mm by 2.1mm radio frequency device about the size of the point of a typical ballpoint pen. Each VeriChip will contain a unique identification number and other critical data. Utilizing an external scanner, radio frequency energy passes through the skin energizing the dormant VeriChip, which then emits a radio frequency signal transmitting the identification number and other data contained in the VeriChip. The scanner will display the identification number, but the VeriChip data can also be transmitted, via telephone or the Internet, to an FDA compliant, secure data-storage site. It will then be accessible by authorized personnel. Inserting the VeriChip device is a simple procedure performed in an outpatient, office setting. It requires only local anesthesia, a tiny incision and perhaps a small adhesive bandage. Sutures are not necessary.

Ex-New Jersey surgeon offers himself for experiment

NEWARK -- The terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center have spurred a former surgeon from New Jersey to turn himself into a human guinea pig.  Five days after the Sept. 11 attacks, Richard Seelig spent about five minutes implanting two "Verichips" -- each no larger than a small breath mint -- below the skin of his right forearm and right hip.

Florida firm first to sell ID microchips to be implanted under skin...

“Digital Angel”: technology that cares

The Digital Angel is a computer chip that is smaller than a grain of rice and has a short antenna.  It is placed under the skin of a person and the chip sends a signal to cell phone towers and satellites in the sky and it can tell the body temperature, pulse, heartbeat, insulin levels, etc. and it also tells the location of a person anywhere in the world.  All this information on a person would be available over the internet.  This chip can also be put in furniture or anything of value for tracking in case of theft.  It can also be put in food to record temperature and location as it is shipped across the country.

The Digital Angel demonstration will be held on Thursday, October 26, at the Unconvention Center (Pier 94) in New York City.  Roughly 200 invitations will be issued to interested members of the national media, potential joint-venture/licensing partners and selected Wall Street analysts.  As previously announced, attendees of the event will witness an historical first: the first-ever operational combination of bio-sensor technology and Web-enabled wireless telecommunications linked to GPS location-tracking systems.

Applied Digital Solutions (ADSX) holds all the patents on the Digital Angel.  The projected worldwide sales is $100 billion dollars.  The stock is currently selling at 36 cents a share.  They call it “technology that cares.”  We call it the Mark of the Beast.

Back in 2000 Applied Digital Solutions used this above graphic for their Digital Angel product.  The angel image on the left was a part of an early ‘splash’ screen for a GPS-based tracking device similar to OnStar or LoJack designed to be worn by or implanted in humans for medical monitoring, location of at-risk individuals, firearms control, and as “a foolproof means of identification for e-commerce security.

The image in the center is the prior image inverted.  Many people feel that the line drawing of the angel forms a clear and distinct pattern resembling the number 666 - the Number of the Beast from the Book of Revelations. The image on the right highlights this pattern.  Was this design a deliberate act of sabotage or an unfortunate accident of design or a sign of the prophecy?

The Bible says those who take the Microchip will receive the Wrath of God...

It is felt by many that the mark of the beast has a mental or spritual component as well as a physical component.   If you look at a 1611 KJV of the bible it talks about the mark of the beast being taken both IN the head as well as IN the hand, not ON as the new revised inaccurate versions state. The IN the head component could very well be the Sunday worship issue as it is felt keeping a Saturday Sabbath as commanded in the fourth commandment is part of God's criteria for "sealing" his  saints and Satan always mimics God so Sunday worship satisfies that component.  But the physical part, IN the hand, may very well be this implantable microchip that is not only available today, but is being installed in people as I write this, is being pushed, and even considered by the UN for worldwide mandatory use.

And that no man might buy or sell, but he that hath the character...
And it was given him to give life to the image of the beast: and that the image of the beast should speak: and should cause that whosoever will not adore the image of the beast should be slain.  And he shall make all, both little and great, rich and poor, freemen and bondmen, to have a character in their right hand or on their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, but he that hath the character, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.  Here is wisdom. He that hath understanding, let him count the number of the beast. For it is the number of a man: and the number of him is six hundred sixty-six. (Apocalypse - Revelation Chapter 13: 15-18)

He also shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God...
And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice: If any man shall adore the beast and his image and receive his character in his forehead or in his hand, He also shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is mingled with pure wine in the cup of his wrath: and shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the sight of the holy angels and in the sight of the Lamb.  And the smoke of their torments, shall ascend up for ever and ever: neither have they rest day nor night, who have adored the beast and his image and whoever receiveth the character of his name.  Here is the patience of the saints, who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus. (Apocalypse Chapter 14:9-12)

And there fell a sore and grievous wound upon men who had the character of the beast...
And the first went and poured out his vial upon the earth. And there fell a sore and grievous wound upon men who had the character of the beast: and upon them that adored the image thereof.  (Apocalypse Chapter Chapter 16:2)

Cast alive into the pool of fire burning with brimstone..
And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet who wrought signs before him, wherewith he seduced them who received the character of the beast and who adored his image. These two were cast alive into the pool of fire burning with brimstone.  (Apocalypse Chapter Chapter 19:20)

But they shall be priests of God and of Christ: and shall reign with him a thousand years...
And I saw seats. And they sat upon them: and judgment was given unto them. And the souls of them that were beheaded for the testimony of Jesus and for the word of God and who had not adored the beast nor his image nor received his character on their foreheads or in their hands. And they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.  The rest of the dead lived not, till the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.  Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection. In these the second death hath no power. But they shall be priests of God and of Christ: and shall reign with him a thousand years.  (Apocalypse Chapter Chapter 20: 4-6)

Philip K. Dick's Black Iron Subdermal Prison

By Wade Inganamort, PrisonPlanet.com
December 17, 2002

As we slingshot into the 21st Century, it is becoming increasingly apparent that the governments and institutions that mold our minds have implemented a system from which we cannot escape. Are we really trapped in a prison with no doors or walls?

Consider the following from Philip K. Dick's Divine Interference, by Erik Davis:

In the excepts of the Exegesis reworked into the "Tractates Crytptica Scriptura" that close the novel VALIS, Dick expresses the MIT computer scientist Edward Fredkin's view that the universe is composed of information. The world we experience is a hologram, "a hypostasis of information" that we, as nodes in the true Mind, process. "We hypostasize information into objects. Rearrangement of objects is change in the content of information. This is the language we have lost the ability to read." With this Adamic code scrambled, both ourselves and the world as we know it are "occluded," cut off from the brimming "Matrix" of cosmic information.

Instead, we are under the sway of the "Black Iron Prison," Dick's terms for the demiurgic worldly forces of political tyranny and oppressive social control. Rome is the eternal paragon of this "Empire," whose archetypal lineaments the feverish Dick recognized in the Nixon administration.

Demonstrating that prisons, mental institutions, schools, and military establishments all share similar organizations of space and time, Foucault argued that a "technology of power" was distributed throughout social space, enmeshing human subjects at every turn. Foucault argued that liberal social reforms are only cosmetic brush-ups of an underlying mechanism of control. As Dick put it, "The Empire never ended."

I would like to assert the possibility that the prison has always been under construction, and it gets closer to view as it nears completion.

While the current administration continues to play "The Grand Chessboard" under the Orwellian facade of peace through war and freedom through slavery, we must ask ourselves: to what end? While some have compared Bush's tactics to those of Adolf Hitler, others feverishly argue that this is necessary to protect America's self interests. The prison-builders have always strived to coerce the citizenry into sacrificing liberty for pseudo-security.  As H.L. Mencken observed:

The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary.

So now as we embark on a lifelong irrational "War against Terrorism", which comedian David Cross concluded is as feasible to win as a "War against Jealousy", and the CIA-ridden oil-soaked media monopoly continues to parrot the current Administration's macro-management of reality, some of the true prison-builders begin to emerge.

Prison-building with fear

We, as humans, are scared of the unknown. The media frenzy of kidnappings a few months back, which served as a well-timed distraction to events that were conveniently sidelined, also served the prison guards and their prerogative: subdermal microchips.

Shortly after 9-11, in the wake of irrational reactionism, Applied Digital Solutions, parent company of Verichip, went on a flurry of an advertising campaign, asking everyone the Simpson's tagline: "Won't somebody please think about the children?". Andy Rooney came out on 60 Minutes proclaiming; "I wouldn't mind having something planted permanently in my arm that would identify me.''

This market tactic was paired with their "Get Chipped!" promotion, and the "Chipmobile", which is touring Florida Senior centers, prowling for Alzheimers patients who must get chipped "for their own safety". Soon deals were made with China, Mexico, and South Korea to perpetuate the meme that global slavery equals global safety.

Just before the FDA ruled that Verichip is not a regulated medical device, Microsoft MapPoint announced a partnership with Verichip to "pinpoint the location of almost anything you want to track - in real time. You can even receive critical information about body temperature, pulse, and more." The FDA then charged: "ADS's conduct flagrantly disregards FDA's prior comprehensive advice."

Then in November the tune changed, from a medical device back to a location and tracking device, as a Washington forum debated the benefits and hazards posed by a new way of identifying people with a microchip implanted under their skin to replace conventional paper identification. Privacy advocates argued the microchip could spell the end of anonymity in the United States, particularly if authorities began requiring people to wear them to meet conditions of parole, employment or border crossings.

As the prison is beginning to emerge and the thoughts and nightmares of writers of the past are birthed into existence, we embark on a new millennium, a new day in America.

"This is not a dress rehearsal for the apocalypse. This is not a pseudo-millenium. This is the real thing folks. This is not a test. This is the last chance before things become so dissipated that there is no chance for cohesiveness." -Terence McKenna (1946-2000)

I would agree that at the time of this quote, we may have had a few more options. I believe that we have surpassed that now and there may be no turning back, no changing the direction of the ball once it has been thrown, and individually we must decide, Das Experiment-style, as Americans:

Do we want to be the prison guards, the prisoners, or do we want to find a way off of the island?

It's not a prison if you never try the door.
