There is a vitamin found in all fruit seeds called vitamin B-17. It's components are said to make it vital for our survival without Cancer. Vitamin B-17, and information about it had been banned from most of the U.S. for over 15 years now.

Vitamin B-17 was the subject of great controversy 18 years ago when some of the world's top scientists claimed that nutrients in certain seeds make it 100 % impossible to develope cancer and can kill off existing cancer cells in a matter of days to months. This is true yesterday, today and tomorrow.
This does not mean that vitamin B-17 will save the life of stage 4 cancer patients, but it will help stop the cancer or diminish the pain.
The pharmaceutical companies pounced on this claim immediatly and demanded that FDA studies be conducted.
Pharmaceutical companies conducted studies on patented chemicals they invent so that at the end of there study, if the drug gets approved, they have sole rights on its sale.
Just imagine all the money the pharmaceutical companies would loose if they didn't need Cancer related drugs?

They never do studies on foods that can't be patented and can be sold at any supermarket.

B17 is found in all fruit seeds such as apple, peach, plum, cherry, orange, nectarine and apricot. It is found in some beans and many grasses such as wheat grass. The hard wooden pit in the middle of a peach is not supposed to be thrown away. In fact, the wooden shell is strong armor protecting one of the most important foods known to man, the seed. It is one of the main courses of food in cultures such as the navajo indians, the Hunzas, the Abkasians and many more. Did you know that within these tribes there has never been a reported case of cancer. There are doctors and scientists from the U.S. living with in these tribes right now studying this phenomena.

We don't need to make a meal of these seeds but we do need the equivalent of about seven (7) apricot seeds per day to nearly guarantee a cancer free life. Other factors such as smoking, alcohol consumption, enviroment and bad diet would prevent the full guarantee to be totally cancer free.

We are in a nearly identical situation concerning cancer.

We know something about the dose of Vitamin B17.
For example, we know the Hunza's represent a population that has been cancer free for over 900 years of its existence. This population has a natural diet, which supplies on the average between 50 to 75 milligrams of Vitamin B17 a day.

Hunzaland is a land that has sometimes been described as the "place where apricot is king." The Hunzakuts eat the fresh apricots for the three months they are in season and the remainder of the year they eat dried apricots. They never eat a dried apricot without enclosing the seed between them. This supplies them with better than average of 50 to 75 milligrams of Vitamin B17 a day.

There are many of us in the Western World who don't ingest this amount of Vitamin B17 in the course of an entire year. As a result we're in the midst of a fulminating deficiency of Vitamin B17 or Laetrile Nitriloside, the anti-neoplastic vitamin. Its absence from our diets accounts for the fact that cancer on our population has reached such a pandemisity as to account for its occurrence in one in 3 American families. The occurrence is probably much greater than that because it is very late in its development when the cancer is detected.. Many who develop cancer are killed by accident or intercurrent diseases before the malignant process has become sufficiently advanced to cause them to have it diagnosed.

Cancer is a chronic, metabolic disease ... that is obvious. It isn't an infectious disease, which is caused by bacteria of viruses. It is a disease that is metabolic in origin. A metabolic disease is a disease that is linked with our utilization of food. Most metabolic diseases have as their basis specific vitamins and minerals.

Let me give you a categorical or axiomatic truth to take with you. One that is totally uncontradictable, scientifically, historically and in every other way. This is that no chronic or metabolic disease in the history of medicines has ever been prevented or cured, except by factors normal to the diet or normal to the animal economy.

There have been many fatal devastating diseases that now have become virtually unknown. They have been prevented and cured by ingesting the dietary factors and there by preventing the deficiencies, which accounted for these diseases.

The one in which you are probably most familiar is Scurvy. A fatal disease that killed mankind by the thousands. A disease that would sometimes wipe out an entire Polar expedition or accounted for about 50 percent mortality among the Crusaders and sailors. A disease that is totally prevented and totally cured by Vitamin C or ascorbic acid a factor normal to an adequate diet. You know from your school days that Great Britain acquired the dominion of the seas by empirically discovering that by adding lime or other citrus juices to the provisions of the British mariners the curse of scurvy from the British sea power was removed. Therefore, Britain competitively gained the ascendancy on the seas. Prior to the incorporation of Vitamin C into their diets it wasn't uncommon for three-fourths of the crew to become seriously ill by the end of a long voyage and then those who didn't die would mysteriously recover after hitting shore because they would have access to fresh fruits and vegetables rich in Vitamin C.

Then we have Pernicious enemia, which had a mortality rate of 98 or 99 percent.
While working at the University of California they discovered a very simple remedy for preventing and curing this disease. They simply said to their patients, "go down to your butcher shop and get a quarter pound of fresh liver. Take the quarter pound, grind it up and cook it lightly by just singing the surface and use this as a ration of a tablespoon every day for three days."
When the patients followed this advice without exception, those with Pernicious enemia made complete recoveries. Despite this these men were censored by the Medical Establishment at the time and were criticized for engaging in what was alleged to be Medical Quacke .

The argument was, how can respectable doctors advise people with a disease that has a 99 percent mortality rate to ignore all of the established drugs of medical science and go down to the butcher shop and buy some raw liver and take this and expect this to cure a disease that nothing else had cured. Well, raw liver did cure the disease and raw liver did prevent it.

The chemistry of raw liver was studied it was discovered that the factors responsible were Vitamin B12 and Folic Acid. So Vitamin B12 and Folic Acid are now a part of our normal dietary experience.

So in 1974, the uninformed, the unimaginative and some of the illiterate are concerned with what to them is a preposterous idea that by eating seed of fruit you can prevent a disease that carries a mortality rate almost as high as that once carried by pernicious emia. But scientific truth isn't dependent upon credibility or lack of it. The scientific reality either is or isn't. And this is the scientific reality that the seeds of all fruits (except citrus) contain Vitamin B17, an anti cancer vitamin. If we ingest proper quantities for this vitamin either in the pure form or through ingesting the nitrilosidic foods we will be able to prevent this decease just as surely as we are able to prevent Scurvy by the use of vitamin C or Pernicious enemia by the use of vitamin B12.

There was another disease that is a metabolic or chronic nature and this is Pellagra. At one time it was so endemic in certain parts of the world, particularly the American southwest, that there were entire hospitals given to the treatment of Pellagrans.

The great Sir William Osler in his "Principles and Practices of Medicine" written at the turn of this century said of Pellagra, "I was at Lenoir, North Carolina during one winter and this winter I visited the Lenoir home for the colored insane and there 75 percent of the imnates died from the disease. It ran rampant through this institution and convinced me beyond any doubt that pellagra is a virus that is infectious."

And then came the fine works of the United States Public Health Service Surgeon, Dr. Goldberger, who showed conclusively that the occurrence of Pellagra was related with a deficiency of fresh green material in the diet. So Dr. Goldberger approached this problem first by the use of Brewer's Yeast, which would completely prevent and cure pellagra. Further studies then showed that the factor in Brewer's yeast that was most determinate of this effect was niacin, Vitamin B3.

So another fatal chronic metabolic disease found total resolution and cure through factors normal to the normal diet or the animal economy. We know that cancer is no exception to this great generalization and to date has known no exception. That is that eve chronic of metabolic disease that will ever be controlled by man, must be controlled by means that are a part of the biological experience of the organism. Chronic and metabolic diseases can never be controlled, prevented or cured by factors foreign to the biological experience of the organism.

Let's make it clear by what we mean by biological experience to the organism. We refer to the experience the of the organism has had over the million years of its evolution. The organism was exposed to water, air, carbohydrates, fats, amino acids and various salts and these factors became integrated with the evolving organism. The evolving organism became integrated with these factors. These factors with the evolving organism were incorporated into the beautiful machine of "life." The vital mechanism of life runs just like the parts of a fine Swiss watch only infinitely more complex.

Dr. Thomas of the Sloan Kettering Institute in a recent article in Science said, "I'm thankful that my liver works without my knowledge. I do not have the brains to co ence to do one millionth of what my liver does. These things are automatic. So swallow the food and this infinite complex machine takes care of itself. "We could spend years telling you about this magnificent machine and we still wouldn't touch the surface of this infinite ocean. We do know that there is nothing that we can do to improve upon it. We do know that in the histo of medicine there never had been found anything foreign to the indwelling requirements of this machine that will do the living organism any good. And we can go further to say there has never in the history of medicine been found anything foreign to the indwelling machine of this infinitely complex system that will not harm the organism.There isn't such a thing as a factor foreign to the biological experience that is not harmful to the organism.

There is nothing we can add to our air water and food to improve it. The most we can do is to look at some of our devitalized food and hopefully attempt to replace that which was capriciously removed from it in the process of food refining, manipulation or cooking. There is absolutely nothing that we can add to that food to improve it. These things are basic.
There isn't any chemical or drug that medical science could suggest that would make us healthier or better adjusted or wiser or give us hope for a longer life. There isn't a single drug or molecule in nature that can, unless that molecule exists in normal food. This probably explains one of the reasons why there is so much resistance to Laetrile, B17.

The application of this science brings us face to face with a lot of things we do not like to face. We have become over-civilized. We are inclined in out deluso thinking to feel that here and there there must be a magic out. That there must be a simple way, a short cut, that somehow or other medical science or some other man-made forces beyond our comprehension will do for us those things we must do for ourselves. d it is slowly dawning on us, perhaps too slowly that this hinking is fraudulent; that it is unsound.

It isn't in the field of cancer alone where we see this form of charlatanism or quacke . We see it in the area of the human mind. The futile attempts to spare man from the realities that surround him. Above all to spare him from the fact that he is accountable to himself and to his God and that there is no short cut in this accountability.

It's real at the physical level. And when we are eating less than adequate food, we know better, And when we continue we are engaged in sin, this is the basis for practically all of our physical and mental and spiritual difficulties. We had better be realistic about it. We have them because we don't do the right things. And when we fail in view of our knowledge now to take Vitamin B17 this is a sin against our physical nature. And when we develop cancer we will receive the results of this transgression in the old fashion Biblical sense that the "wages of sin are death."

If you are not getting Vitamin B17 in your food the best way to get it is in the pure form. If you have cancer, the most important single consideration is to get the maximum amount of Vitamin B17 into your body in the shortest period of time. This is secondary to the medical skill involved in administering it, which is relatively minimal. Then very often there are many supportive measures that are taken in the management of the cancer patient such as the use of materials to build up the blood, to raise or lower the blood pressure or to relieve the pain.

You can get apricot seeds in your health food store, get only the dried ones which don't have all the important enzymes killed off.

Laetrile / Vitamin B17 Treatment For Cancer

 

How It Works

Laetrile (i.e. amygdalin or Vitamin B17) therapy is one of the most popular and best known alternative cancer treatments. It is very simple to use and is very effective if used in high enough doses and if the product is of high quality and if it is combined with an effective cancer diet and key supplements (in other words, you need to do your homework to maximize its benefits).

Laetrile works by killing cancer cells and building the immune system to fend off future outbreaks of cancer. It uses two different methods for killing cancer cells. It involves a strict diet (as do all cancer treatments) and several supplements.

 

How to Obtain Laetrile or Vitamin B17

The FDA has made the purchase of laetrile supplements effectively impossible, even though it is a perfectly natural and safe supplement. In order for a doctor to use laetrile supplements, they or their patient must "confess" to the FDA that the doctor is using laetrile in their practice. In other words, laetrile supplements are effectively illegal because no doctor wants to admit they are using laetrile. Thus, if you illegally buy laetrile supplements, how do you insure you are buying it from a highly trusted source? This seems like an oxymoron.

Having said that, there are sources of laetrile pills. However, most people take laetrile in the form of apricot kernels. In the middle of a peach or apricot is a hard shell. If you break open the hard shell with a "nut cracker," pliers or hammer, you will find a small seed/kernel in the middle that looks like an almond. However, it is much softer than an almond and certainly does not taste like an almond. It is this seed that is rich in natural laetrile.

If you search for "apricot kernels" (use the quotes) on Google you will be able to find a lot of vendors of apricot kernels. Be advised, however, that apricot kernel sites cannot legally make any claims about laetrile being used to treat cancer.

Most experts will recommend a daily dose of apricot kernels from between 24 kernels a day up to 40 kernels a day, spread throughout the day. For a person in remission, 16 apricot kernals a day should be used as a minimum.

Because I do not like any form of dehydration, especially if artificial heat is applied (it can affect the bioavailability of the laetrile molecule), I like apricot kernels sold still in the shell. Yes, it is extra work to break open the shell for each kernel, but you KNOW the kernel has not been dehydrated. The vendor "Our Father's Farm" will, on special request, sell apricot kernels still in the shell (see the link below).

Other things rich in laetrile are millet grain and buckwheat grain. Breads made with these grains, however, generally do not contain a high percentage of millet or buckwheat or else they would be too hard.

Also, the seeds of berry plants, such as red raspberries and black raspberries are rich in laetrile. Red raspberries also have a second cancer killer in their seeds: Ellagic Acid, a phenolic. About four dozen foods have Ellagic Acid, but Red Raspberries have the highest concentration. Strawberries also have Ellagic Acid.

This means that when you buy berry jelly, make sure you buy preserves that have the seeds. Basically, the seeds of any fruit, except citrus fruits, have laetrile. My wife eats apples from the bottom up, meaning she eats the seeds and always has. This is a good habit to get into - I picked up the habit years ago.

Of course, apricot kernels are the best source of laetrile. Those who do not yet have cancer might want to plant a few apricot or peach trees in their back yard for a long term source of laetrile. The kernels can be frozen while still in the shell.

The Dr. Philip Binzel list of foods that contain laetrile include: apricot kernels, peach kernels, grape seeds, blackberries, blueberries, strawberries, bean sprouts, lima beans and macadamia nuts (to name but a few).

If you live outside of the U.S. and are able to obtain laetrile pills, it is important to take them with natural water on an empty stomach and to not eat or drink anything for one hour after taking the pills.

The FDA claims that laetrile is toxic. This is an absolute lie. Read the first chapter of Alive and Well (which is online and is linked to below) to see how absurd the FDA claim is.

 

The Theory

When the laetrile compound molecule comes across a cancer cell, it is broken down into 2 molecules of glucose, 1 molecule of hydrogen cyanide and 1 molecule of benzaldehyde. In the early days of laetrile research it was assumed that the hydrogen cyanide molecule was the major cancer cell killing molecule, but now it is known that it is the benzaldehyde molecule that is by far the major reason the cancer cell is killed.

The reason laetrile therapy takes so long to work, in spite of the marvelous design of the laetrile molecule, is because if the laetrile molecule happens to chemically react with the enzyme of a non-cancerous cell (i.e. rhodanese), before it reacts with the enzyme of a cancerous cell (beta-glucosidase), the rhodanese will break apart the laetrile molecule in such a way that it can no longer kill a cancer cell. Thus you have to take enough laetrile molecules, over a long enough time, that enough laetrile molecules coincidently (as far as we know) hits all of the cancer cells first.

The second way that laetrile therapy works is because of the laetrile diet. Like the metabolic diet, it is designed to build up the trypsin and chymotrypsin in the body, and let them work on the cancer cells. What they do is break down the enzymes surrounding the cancer cell so the white blood cells can kill the cancer cell. More will be said about the cancer diet below.

One of the good side-effects of laetrile therapy is that more Vitamin B12 is made in the body. With this in mind, make sure you supplement laetrile therapy with Vitamin C. Vitamin C and Vitamin B12 are, by themselves, a treatment for cancer.

 

The Basic Treatment Plan

The specific therapy that I discuss comes from the Binzel book: Alive and Well. There are other sources of a laetrile diet, but I would compare any other diet with the Binzel diet if you want to use another diet.

As with any cancer treatment, the place to start is with the "diet," meaning the foods you can and cannot eat. The Binzel diet is very similar to the Raw Food diet. This is interesting because he was taught by Dr. Krebs himself, thus the laetrile diet probably dates back over 60 years.

It would probably be better to simply go on a Raw Food diet rather than a modified Raw Food diet (i.e. the Binzel diet). The reason is that the Binzel diet does not take into account many discoveries made about the cancer killing nutrients in vegetables and fruits. In other words, the Binzel diet does not discriminate between the best cancer killing fruits and vegetables versus the far less effective (for treating cancer) vegetables and fruits. Thus, the base diet of the Binzel plan should be the Raw Food diet.
The Raw Food Diet

The question then becomes, how do we enhance the Raw Food diet to take into account laetrile. There are several ways. First, give preference in the Raw Food diet to those fruits (i.e. seeds), grains and nuts (e.g. almonds and macadamia) that are rich in laetrile. Mix these items with the Raw Food diet items.

Second, make sure you get the nutrients that are necessary in order for laetrile to work:
1) zinc (which is the transport mechanism for laetrile),
2) Vitamin C (build up to 6 grams a day),
3) manganese,
4) magnesium,
5) selenium,
6) Vitamins B6, B9 and B12,
7) Vitamin A,
8) Vitamin E (at least 2,000 I.U.)

If you are already taking a multi-vitamin (e.g. you are on the Bill Henderson Protocol), compare its ingredients with the above list and take extra supplements to make up any deficiency.

If you are not already taking a multivitamin, the recommended way to get all of these nutrients is the Essense Health Blend. It has all of the above items (plus the critical iodine). However, it does not have enough Vitamin C or Vitamin E (which you will have to supplement separately):

Binzel also adds "Megazyme Forte" for its trypsin, chymotrypsin, bromalin and zinc nutrients - 2 pills three times a day. Other pancreatic enzymes (also known as proteolytic enzymes) are: Vitalzym, 10Zymes (also from Essense of Life), and Wobenzym N.

IT IS CRITICAL to take the pancreatic or proteolytic enzymes during the laetrile therapy!! However, note that they are blood thinners and should be taken within the vendor's recommended maximum dosage (on the bottle). These are critical for the laetrile molecules to work at peak efficiency.

Note that zinc is also one of the most critical parts of this therapy:

 
"Zinc is the transportation mechanism for laetrile and nitrilosides in the body. Biochemists and researchers have found that you can give Laetrile to a patient until its coming out of the ears of the patient, but, if that patient did not have sufficient level of Zinc, none of the laetrile would get into the tissues of the body. They also found that nothing heals within the body without sufficient vitamin C. They also found that magnesium; selenium, vitamin A, and B all played an important part in maintaining the body's defense mechanism. This is way its important to understand that cancer is best treated with a total nutritional program consisting of diet, vitamins, minerals, laetrile and pancreatic enzymes."

He also adds Pangamic acid (B15) 100 mg. - 1 pill three times daily. This is not in the Essense Health Blend, so it needs to be added.

Binzel recognizes the need for vegetable protein, and thus allows grains, nuts, beans, etc. that provide that protein, even if they have to be cooked.

Binzel does not allow cottage cheese (it comes from an animal, thus it is forbidden), however, if you are taking the two key elements in the Budwig diet, taking cottage cheese is obviously OK. Doing this, however, makes the proteolytic enzymes that much more important.

 

Warning #1 - Laetrile May Cause Low Blood Pressure

This is an important message I received by email: "Laetrile ingestion may occasionally cause a temporary low blood pressure reaction due to formation of thiocyanate, a powerful blood pressure lowering agent. In metabolism, nitriloside is hydrolyzed to free hydrogen cyanide, benzaldehyde or acetone and sugar. This occurs largely through the enzyme beta-glucosidase produced by intestinal bacteria as well as by the body. The released HCN [hydrocyanide] is detoxified by the enzyme rhodanese to the relatively non-toxic thiocyanate molecule."

Normally, lowering blood pressure is not an issue, however, for those who are already taking blood pressure medications, or have heart issues which would be made worse by a drop in blood pressure, be advised that laetrile can lower blood pressure.

 

Warning #2 - Proteolytic Enzymes are Blood Thinners

Because many people on the laetrile protocol also use proteolytic enzymes (i.e. pancreatic enzymes), it is important to know that proteolytic enzymes are blood thinners. Proteolytic enzymes, such as Vitalzym, should NOT be used in conjunction with prescription blood thinners.

Also, high doses of proteolytic enzymes should not be taken, just as too high of a dose of any blood thinner should never be taken. See the bottle for maximum doses.

 

Warning #3 - Do Not Take Laetrile With Probiotics

From an email: "It was our experience that taking laetrile with high strength probiotics may also increase the amount of free hydrogen cyanide and thus could create adverse side effects."

 

Warning #4 - Using Laetrile With the Bob Beck Protocol

If you plan on using the Bob Beck Protocol (an electromedicine treatment) and laetrile at the same time, do NOT take any laetrile until you are finished with both of the Bob Beck Protocol electromedicine devices (e.g. the blood purifier and magnetic pulser) for the day. In other word, when you are finished using the Bob Beck Protocol for the day, take your laetrile. This gives the laetrile plenty of time to be absorbed by the body before starting the Bob Beck Protocol on the next day.

If you are taken apricot kernels, take no more than one-third of the daily number of kernels before the Bob Beck Protocol is finished for the day.

 

Warning #5 - Combining Laetrile With Other Alternative Cancer Treatments

Whenever a person combines two or more alternative cancer treatments together, it is critical to do your homework. For example, Vitamin C should be taken with laetrile, however, Vitamin C should not be taken with Protocel, graviola (e.g. Amazon Factor Protocol), hydrazine sulfate, etc.

In other words, if you are taking a second or third alternative cancer treatment with laetrile, or if laetrile is being used to supplement another treatment, be careful to watch the warnings on each treatment.

 

Supercharging This Treatment

Unless you are using high doses of a quality source of laetrile, you should not DEPEND on laetrile as the core treatment in a cancer treatment program. Treat this as a supplemental treatment or a remission treatment.
